I spent 4 years living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I spent the time working as a carpenter and designer whilst studying landscape architecture at University Putra Malaysia. It was interesting for me to see how things are done there and where the values lie compared to the UK.

I was involved in some interesting projects and i now reflect on this time as my most important learning experience, particularly in my approach landscape architecture and design in general.

I was inspired by a landscape architect called seksan who used industrial and natural materials together to form a local style that reflected the unfinished nature of KL. this transpired on some beds that I designed and built for a hostel.
