The Coffee

Enjoying the sunrise with a coffee, two amazing things that are linked. Coffee grown in the sun and now the coffees waking me up to enjoy the sun.

Work with the elements and no need to hide or supress them.

How we deal with these things shows who we are. If we’re always forcing it, we’re probably out of sync. If we’re paying attention and working with what’s in front of us, things tend to go better. Its not about fixing or running away but appreciating the now.

And this isn’t about escaping the city or living off-grid. You don’t need to run from the system to feel connected. You can build this into your urban life—into streets, roofs, gardens, schools, policy, and politics. With a bit of thought, it works. And there’s something honest in that - awareness of your surroundings.

These small moments—they’re not the answer to everything. But they help. They ground you. They remind you what matters. And in a world that moves fast, that’s something.

Something i have been thinking - The Map

This is a map that offers different ways to approach things in the city.

It could start with the basics—sun, wind, water, rivers, soil. The stuff that was here long before planning policy or masterplans. know your soil and where the suns hits the ground and your already in a good place to create a good city.

From there, you can ask what happened before, whats happening now and what might happens next?

use tne things around us to make better decisions. Whether you’re building something, planning policy, or just trying to make a space work.

When you see all these layers together, it gets easier to spot opportunities. It gives people a chance to understand their environment properly—and maybe even care about it, because it’s real and close to them.

It’s not a solution, it’s a tool.
Simple. Strategic. Useful.
